I made a fresh character. Here are the statistics:

Name: Lowbie (who wudda thunk, rite?)
Race: Greenskin
Server: Badlands
I chose Shaman for a few reasons.
- Shaman's are small. Being small on the battlefield means that I might not be noticed as much. That means that I might have an extra second added to my average lifespan.
- Healers are a great class to play as from range. MDPS/Tanks have to be right in the middle of combat to do their job, which leaves you open to AOE of any kind. Ranged/Magic damage the opponent so the enemy player or NPC is going to target you sooner than later to shut you up. All healers have to worry about is pulling aggro, and in RvR, that doesn't happen (unless your playing the RvE keep-swap game).
- I wanted to roll a Shaman because I feel the proposed changes on the Shaman/Archmage on the official forums is a good idea and can't wait to test it out.
- I love Greenskin. They are my favorite race in the game. The best combination of looks/jobs. They are hilarious too!
Let me diverge of a second. Isn't the RR capped by the Rank? Is Rank 1 special, that it doesn't cap your RR? If so, that could be a cute new project for me after this one is over, to see how high of a RR I could get while still Rank 1.
After the RP boost, it made sense that the RvR icon probably wouldn't be flashing up, so I decided to just head in the direction of the Warcamp and if it flashes, I can instantly teleport the rest of the way.
For the most part, the travel was easy, with very few threats. Around one of the Ch. 2 PQs, I encounter a passageway that had to be traveled to get through, and ran into a NPC that hit me a few times. He didn't do that much damage, and I threw up the small heal I had on myself afterwards and got out of there pretty quickly.

Around the time I got to Ch. 3 Greenskin, I noticed that there was a cave full of spiders between me and the Warcamp, and I couldn't risk being attacked in a cave because there would be very few places to run to safely without aggroing even more spiders. So I needed to find a way around that. I decided I was going to run around the mountain, into the RvR area, and then head towards the warcamp from there. The only obstacle was that the huge Ch. 3 PQ that was going on right in front of me. If I wanted to get around the mountain, I had to skirt past the Order side of the battle. I did so, and aggro'd a shooter of some kind, and he did some decent damage to me before I got away. Thankfully, I didn't die and got to a safe point and healed up.

I was sitting there, healing up, next to a hill when I saw the slope of the hill and though, "Why don't I just go to the top of the mountain and run to the warcamp?". I had done this before on an Order character, trying to pull the NPCs out of the Greenskin Warcamp to kill. So I ran up the hill, and got to the top of the mountain pretty quickly, and ran to the Warcamp.

YAY! Made it to the warcamp without dying! Part 1 was done, and I just had to follow the next step, get to the main city.

Expect more from me by Monday. I'm pretty busy on the weekends, minus the time before Noon on Saturday.
Thanks for visiting!
